A message from Ben

Just when I was learning with horror that our friend Jay Bowcott has a ruptured ear drum and won’t be able to work for a while Mikey asked me to play a last second show Wednesday night at Mikey’s on 12th. I’m not expecting much on no notice but I’d like to donate whatever the proceeds of this show are to help Jay through this tough time.Regular people might not think about the fact that we musicians don’t get sick days or sick pay. Or EI for that matter.

I don’t know who’ll be playing with me – I’ve only mentioned this to my backup singer Magda so far and she’s in – but if any of my fellow artists want to sing a few songs please let me know. Hopefully some of my band mates will be able to jam.

No cover but I’ll pass a hat.
